- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup failsafe margarine
- 6 cups puffed rice cereal
- 1/4 cup carob powder
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions

1Melt butter or margarine in a large saucepan, stir in syrup, brown sugar and carob powder.

2Bring to the boil for 3 minutes, then remove from stove and add the vanilla essence.

3Place the puffed rice in a large greased swiss roll pan (10x12inch). Pour mixture over the cereal and mix well. Spread smooth and pat firm.

4Chill until firm.
