- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. white corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar in a 3-quart saucepan.

2Cook to a hard-crack stage (300°).

3Turn off heat and add soda, mixing quickly.

4Pour immediately into a greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan. Cool, then invert on a tray.

5Spread with melted chocolate. Break into chunks.

6Yields about 1 pound.
