- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. milk
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 pt. whipped cream
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter together and add egg yolks, milk, flour, baking powder and vanilla.

2Beat well.

3Place in two greased layer tins.

4Beat egg whites stiff and fold in 1/2 cup sugar.

5Spread over dough in each tin.

6Bake approximately 30 minutes at 325° until meringue turns slightly brown.

7Drain pineapple juice.

8Mix whipped cream and pineapple together.

9Turn over layer upside-down with meringue at the bottom.

10Spread with pineapple and whipped cream.

11Place other layer with meringue on top.
