  • 2 cans (14 fl oz/ 398 mL each) no-salt-added chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
  • 1 small onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup Miracle Whip Original Spread Family Dollar $3.50 thru 02/07
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped, divided
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. tahini
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
  • 1 cup chopped English cucumbers
  • 1 tomato, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
  • 1/4 cup Kraft Greek with Feta and Oregano Dressing
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 8 whole wheat pita breads

    Process first 6 ingredients and half the cilantro in food processor until smooth.

    Shape into 24 (2-inch) patties, using about 2-1/2 Tbsp.

    Meanwhile, mix sour cream, tahini and lemon juice until well blended.

    Combine cucumbers, tomatoes, remaining cilantro and dressing in separate bowl.

    Refrigerate both until ready to use.

    oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat.

    Add half the falafel patties; cook 3 min.

    on each side or until browned on both sides.
