  • 1 lb. lean bulk pork sausage
  • 3 c. cooked rice
  • 1 tart cooking apple, cored and chopped (red)
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Cook sausage in skillet, stirring to crumble.

    Drain well. Combine sausage, rice, apple, onion, celery, raisins, sugar, salt, allspice, cinnamon and pepper.

    Spoon into a 2-quart baking dish. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
