- 1 whole Egg
- 1 package Fast Rising Yeast
- 1/2 cups Very Warm Water
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Softened Butter
Directions

1Take egg out of refrigerator and place in a bowl filled with warm water. (This makes the yeast work better-doesn't cool the mixture down so much.)

2Dissolve the yeast in the very warm water and set aside.

3Mix together the warmed egg and the oil and add to the yeast mixture.

4Combine the dry ingredients and add to the yeast mixture.

5Mix and knead for just a minute or so.

6Roll this out to dinner plate size. Spread with some softened butter and roll up. Tuck in the ends and place on a greased cookie sheet.

7Put it in a warm place and let it rise for 20-30 minutes. (At this point, I split the top with a knife and pour on some melted butter!!)

8Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until it is browned. Rub the top with butter to make it shine.
