Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Diced White Onion
  • 29 ounces, fluid Can Tomato Sauce
  • 29 ounces, fluid Kidney Beans (with Liquid)
  • 29 ounces, fluid Can Pinto Beans (with Liquid)
  • 1/2 cups Diced Green Chilied (2 Chilies)
  • 1/2 cups Diced Celery (2 Stalks)
  • 3 whole Medium Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Directions

    In a large, heavy, stock pot, brown ground beef, add onions. Drain off fat.

    Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours.

    *Makes about 12 servings. I usually freeze half for later.
