  • 34 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 14 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon clove
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar (for dipping)

Directions
