  • 1 c. vinegar (white)
  • 1 Tbsp. Mazola oil
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. pickling salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. alum
  • raw vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, onions, celery, green beans and tomatoes

Directions

    Boil the vinegar, oil, sugar, pickling salt, water and alum together.

    Put over vegetables in pint jar with dill on bottom and top.

    Boil lids and seal.

    Boil water in canner and put in jars. Cover.

    Turn off heat and leave setting in canner overnight, covered.
  6. 6
    Makes 2 to 3 pints.
