- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water. Add buttermilk and mix. In a separate bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in shortening; add buttermilk mixture. Roll out and cut into biscuits. Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.
