- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 c. milk, scalded and cooled
- 5 c. sifted flour (plain)
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Add shortening to milk while milk is still warm.

2When milk has cooled, dissolve yeast in water and add to milk.

3Add sugar and salt, eggs and flour, beat well.

4Let rise in bowl for 20 minutes. Knead dough for 2 minutes.
