  • 2 (15 oz.) cans chickpeas
  • 4 medium cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. finely minced onion or 6 scallions
  • 1/2 c. minced parsley
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • a few dashes cayenne
  • oil for frying
