- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3/4 c. liquid shortening
- 8 c. flour
- 1 heaping tsp. sugar
- 2 c. very hot water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Mix yeast and 1 heaping teaspoon to dissolve in 1/2 cup warm water; set aside.

2Mix together hot water, salt, sugar and shortening, then add eggs; stir.

3Add 4 cups flour; stir together, then add yeast mixture.

4Mix.

5Add 4 cups flour and stir thoroughly.

6Let rise and then shape into rolls.

7Drop into greased and floured pans.

8Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen rolls.
