Festive Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 1.5 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese (12 ounces total)
  • 6 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 tablespoons candied cherries, finely chopped
  • 2 12 ounces water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 cup mixed nuts, finely chopped (I use a mixture of hazelnuts, pistachios, and pecans)
  • 12 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt (I use McCormick's Season-All)

    blend ingredients well.

    cover and chill overnight (I find that this recipe lends itself to be more of a dip rather than a ball, so I prefer to just keep it in a bowl rather than try to force it into a ball-type shape).

    serve with crackers or crudites.
