Ingredients

  • 1 recipe homemade noodles or equivalent in store-bought ribbon noodles (1 pkg.)
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 slices diced ham
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • parsley (preferably fresh), finely chopped
  • basil (preferably fresh), finely chopped
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • butter

Directions

    Boil the noodles until almost done; drain.

    Saute the ham and garlic in about 3 tablespoons butter until brown.

    Add the noodles and more butter if necessary.

    Saute.

    Add cream until well coated.

    Add seasonings to taste.

    Add Parmesan cheese.

    If mixture is too dry, add more cream.

    You want a fairly heavy sauce.

    Fresh mushrooms can also be added along with the ham, if desired.
