- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 cup water
- 14 teaspoon harissa
- 12 teaspoon cumin
- 14 teaspoon dried thyme
- salt & pepper (to taste)
Directions
-
1cut salsify roots in half & boil in salted water for 30 minuites.

2rinse in cold water.

3peel & cut into 3 inch pieces.

4make the batter:blend all the indgredents in a food processor for 30 seconds.

5heat the oil in a large frying pan.
-
6dip the salsify in the batter and fry in oil until crisp & golden turning.
-
7keep warm whil cooking the remainder.
-
8serve hot with lemon wedges.
