- 2 slices bacon
- 4 sweet onions, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 bouillon cube
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 c. shelled peas (about 2 lb.)
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp.

2Remove from pan and crumble.

3Brown onion in bacon fat.

4Add flour and brown.

5Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water and blend into flour mixture.

6Season to taste. Add peas; cover and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.

7Top with crumbled bacon before serving.
