  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can cream-style corn
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Heat oven to 400°.

    Melt shortening in 8 or 9-inch pan. Combine dry ingredients.

    Add melted shortening and remaining ingredients.
