Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. crushed figs (canned or fresh)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Beat sugar and eggs together.

    Add oil and beat again.

    In another bowl, mix dry ingredients well.

    Put 1/2 dry mixture into egg, oil and sugar mixture.

    Next, add 1 cup figs and mix well. Add last of dry mixture.

    Add pecans and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

    Bake in tube or Bundt pan at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
