  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. fig preserves
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 3 eggs

    Sift dry ingredients and add oil; beat well. Add eggs, butter and milk gradually. Add figs, nuts and vanilla. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
