- 1 stick oleo
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. fig preserves
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1/2 tsp. orange rind, grated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions

1Beat the first 3 ingredients with an electric mixer for 1 minute.

2Add orange juice, grated rind and vanilla.

3Beat for one more minute.

4Blend by hand the sifted flour, soda and salt into first mixture.

5Add nuts and fold batter until well blended.

6Bake in greased and floured 8 cup Bundt pan Bake at 350° for 50 minutes
