- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 c. fig preserves
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Cream butter; add sugar gradually.

3Add eggs and blend until light.

4Sift together flour, baking powder and spices, alternating with milk to creamed mixture.

5Stir in mashed figs and pecans.

6Bake 15 to 20 minutes in small greased muffin pan.

7Makes 24 muffins.
