- 4 qr. ripe figs
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. sliced orange rind
Directions

1Wash figs and cut off stems.

2Place in a 4 qt. pan.

3Do NOT add water.
-
4Pour sugar over figs.

5Add orange rind.
-
6Cook one hour very slowly with lid on.
-
7Stir occasionally.
-
8Cook two more hours or until juice is dark and thick.
-
9Spoon figs and juice into jars that have been sterilized in boiling water.
-
10Place lid and band on jar and screw tight.
