- 6 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 qt. water
- 2 lemons, sliced and seeds removed as much as possible
Directions

1Wash and remove stems from firm but ripe figs.

2Cover with boiling water and let stand 5 minutes.

3Drain, rinse in cold water and pull off peeling.
