Ingredients

  • 6 qt. figs
  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 qt. water
  • 2 lemons, sliced and seeds removed as much as possible

Directions

    Wash and remove stems from firm but ripe figs.

    Cover with boiling water and let stand 5 minutes.
  3. 3
    Drain, rinse in cold water and pull off peeling.
