Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar fig preserves (no sugar added)
  • 1 cup pecan pieces

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Beat together first 3 ingredients.

    In another bowl sift together the next 5 ingredients.

    Add to wet ingredients and stir in fig preserves and pecans.

    Spoon into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. (Mine are 5x9).

    Bake for 55-65 minutes.
