- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 qt. figs, whole or mashed
- 1 1/2 c. pecans
Directions

1Sift flour, cornstarch and spices in a large mixing bowl.

2Pour in buttermilk and beat well.

3Stir in figs, nuts and vanilla.

4Mix well.

5Bake in loaf pan or Bundt pan at 325° for 45 minutes.
