Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello
  • 1 (1 lb.) can sour cherries (tart; not pie filling)
  • 2 or 3 medium bananas, diced
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 (9 oz.) pie shells, baked
  • 1 (8 oz.) container whipped topping

Directions

    Mix sugar, flour and pineapple; heat to boiling.

    Stir.

    Add jello; stir until dissolved.

    Add cherries (with their liquid); stir.

    Cool to room temperature.

    Add bananas and nuts.

    Spoon into pie shells and chill.

    Serve with topping; garnish as desired.
