  • 1/2 c. cornstarch
  • pure food coloring
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1/2 c. soap flakes or detergent

Directions

    Dissolve cornstarch in 3/4 cup cold water.

    Soak gelatin in remaining cold water (1/4 cup).

    Add hot water to starch mixture and cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil and is clear, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Blend in softened gelatin.

    Add soap or detergent.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Cool and divide into five portions.

    Put into jars and mix in food coloring to desired intensity.
