Ingredients
- 1/2 cup molasses or 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3 - 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
Directions

1In a large bowl, beat together molasses, brown sugar and butter until mixture is smooth.

2Add cream, ginger, cinnamon, flour, baking powder, salt (if using).

3Continue beating until dough is stiff.

4Chill dough.

5Roll out small portions of dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

6Cut into 3-inch rounds (or if you prefer other shapes).

7Bake in 375-degree F oven for 8-10 minutes.
