- 18 ounces frozen french fries
- 1 cup Italian salad dressing (store bought or your own recipe)
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 14 cup water
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 lb fish fillet, cut into 1-inch pieces
- oil, for deep-fat frying
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450F and lightly spritz a baking pan with baking spray (Pam).

2Toss potatoes with 1/4 cup salad dressing; place in baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.

3Preheat oil to 365F.

4Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, 3/4 cup salad dressing and 1/4 cup water.

5Dip fish into batter and fry a few pieces at a time in hot oil until golden, about 2 minutes.

6Drain well on absorbent paper or paper towels.

7Serve fish bits and french fries in miniature newspaper cones lined with waxed paper, for an authentic touch.
