Fish Chowder

  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 lb. fish fillets (cod or haddock good; not necessary to thaw)
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 can condensed cream of potato soup
  • 1 soup can milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Melt butter in saucepan; mix in celery and onion.

    Arrange fish fillets on top.

    Cover and simmer until fish is done, about 20 minutes for frozen fish, 10 minutes for fresh.

    Break up the fish with a spoon into bite size chunks.

    Add remaining ingredients and simmer gently for 30 minutes.
