- 5 lb. dressed fish, cut up
- 5 cans tomato soup
- 1 can V-8 vegetable juice
- 3 cans water
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 8 slices fatback meat
- 2 or more Tbsp. sugar
- 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
- 2 Tbsp. Texas Pete hot sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. catsup
Directions

1Fry fatback and take up.

2Fry onions in fatback grease until they turn clear.

3This does better on medium heat.

4Add tomato soup and water.

5Then add sugar, onion soup mix, hot sauce, salt, pepper and catsup.

6Let come to a boiling point.

7Add fish and simmer very slow until fish is tender.
