Ingredients

  • 5 lb. dressed fish, cut up
  • 5 cans tomato soup
  • 1 can V-8 vegetable juice
  • 3 cans water
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 8 slices fatback meat
  • 2 or more Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 Tbsp. Texas Pete hot sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. catsup

Directions

    Fry fatback and take up.

    Fry onions in fatback grease until they turn clear.

    This does better on medium heat.

    Add tomato soup and water.

    Then add sugar, onion soup mix, hot sauce, salt, pepper and catsup.

    Let come to a boiling point.

    Add fish and simmer very slow until fish is tender.
