Ingredients

  • 4 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 2 lb. mild fish, cut into serving size pieces
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 5 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped dill pickle
  • 1/4 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 4 tsp. horseradish

Directions

    Place onions, celery, salt, fish and butter in large saucepan. Add milk and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Add sour cream, pickle and horseradish.

    Add Velveeta cheese. Stir until melted.

    Thicken with flour, if desired. Serve.
