  • 2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 slice bread, broken
  • 3 or 4 potatoes, cut up
  • 6 or 7 carrots, cut up
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Just mix all together, then stir occasionally.

    Bake 5 hours at 250° in a covered pan.
