Ingredients
- 1 medium onion
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes (optional)
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. cooked green lima beans, drained
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. whole grain corn, drained
- 4 medium tomatoes
- 1/2 to 1 c. grated sharp cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Chop onion; place in pan with shortening.

3Add ground beef and cook until brown.

4Pour off excess fat.

5Add chili powder; mix well.

6Place meat in casserole dish as first layer, then green lima beans and the corn.

7Pour tomatoes over the corn; sprinkle with pepper.

8Mix sugar and salt and sprinkle over each layer, except on cheese.

9Top with grated cheese and parsley.

10Bake 25 minutes.

11Serve hot.
