- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 can Carnation milk
- pinch of salt
- 3 small pkg. or 1 qt. and 1 small pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 c. black walnuts
- 1 c. pecans
Directions

1Mix sugar and milk in large pot.

2Boil 6 minutes, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat.

4Add salt, butter, vanilla, cream of tartar and chocolate chips.

5Stir well until mixed.

6Add nuts. Pour into greased pan and cool at room temperature for 1 hour. Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour.

7Cut into squares and serve.
