  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening (Crisco is best)
  • cold water (approximately 6 Tbsp.)

Directions

    Mix and sift flour and salt.

    Cut shortening into flour with 2 knives or pastry blender.

    Add enough water to hold ingredients together, sprinkling it in evenly and mixing with a fork.

    Wrap dough in waxed paper; chill 1/2 to 1 hour before rolling.
