- 400 g porridge oats
- 400 g butter or 400 g margarine
- 400 g brown sugar
- 150 g golden syrup
- 100 g cocoa powder (optional)
Directions

1Turn the oven on to 180 degrees Celsius.

2Measure out the ingredients.

3Put the butter, brown sugar and syrup into a saucepan and cook on medium heat until ingredients have melted.

4Take off the heat, add the oats and stir in until covered in the mixture.

5Place in the greased baking tin and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.

6Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

7Cut into squares and place on a cooling rack.
