  • 400 g porridge oats
  • 400 g butter or 400 g margarine
  • 400 g brown sugar
  • 150 g golden syrup
  • 100 g cocoa powder (optional)

Directions

    Turn the oven on to 180 degrees Celsius.

    Measure out the ingredients.

    Put the butter, brown sugar and syrup into a saucepan and cook on medium heat until ingredients have melted.

    Take off the heat, add the oats and stir in until covered in the mixture.

    Place in the greased baking tin and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.

    Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

    Cut into squares and place on a cooling rack.
