Flap Jacks(Camp Style)

- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- water
- shortening
Directions

1Place flour in mixing bowl.

2Add milk and water.

3Mix well, adding water as needed to make batter medium thick.

4Use 10-inch cast iron skillet.

5Melt shortening on camp stove enough to cover bottom of pan.

6Pour batter into pan to cover bottom with thin layer in 3/4 circle for one large flap-jack.

7Fry until bubbly and brown on under side.

8Flip into air and turn (hopefully) catching back in pan.

9Add shortening as needed while cooking and after each one is cooked, brown other side and remove from pan.

10Finish cooking other flap jacks.

11Eat with eggs, bacon, jelly, jam, syrup, etc.
