  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 c. finely cut dates
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind

Directions

    Combine eggs and sugar and beat until thick and lemon colored. Sift in flour and salt.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Drop by rounded teaspoons, 2 inches apart, on a well-greased baking sheet. Bake in slow oven (325°) for 12 to 15 minutes.

    Remove immediately from baking sheet.

    Makes about 6 dozen.
