- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, cubed
- 3 egg whites
- 1 loaf unsliced white bread, crust removed
Directions

1Melt cream cheese, butter and Cheddar cheese in a pan either over hot water or over very low heat, stirring until smooth.

2Cool to lukewarm.

3Beat egg whites stiff and fold into the cooled cheese mixture.

4Cut bread into 1-inch cubes.

5Dip each cube into the cheese mixture.

6Using a fork, swirl it around to coat completely.

7(Often, you'll have to spread cheese mixture on bread with a knife.) Place on greased sheet and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 400°.

8Bake for 8 minutes or until light brown. Yields 5 1/2 dozen.
