  • 6 ounces (2 1/2 cups) uncooked dried fusilli (corkscrew) pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter
  • 2 cups thinly sliced onion
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 pound sliced Land O Lakes Deli American, cut into quarters
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

    Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

    Set aside; keep warm.

    Melt butter in deep 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling; add onion and sugar.

    Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 1 minute.

    Reduce heat to medium; cook 15-16 minutes or until onions are browned and caramelized.

    Stir in milk and cheese.
