Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

    Mix first four ingredients together.

    Mix vinegar, water and egg and pour into the dry ingredients.

    Mix until moistened well. Shape into four patties with wax paper between and chill for 15 minutes.

    Can be frozen indefinitely.

    Will keep 3 days in refrigerator.

    Makes 4 pie shells.
