- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- water
Directions

1Pour flour into bowl.

2Stir in sugar.

3Cut in shortening.

4Add egg and enough water to make a smooth batter.

5Turn onto a floured piece of wax paper.

6Roll to desired thickness.

7Turn over pie pan and peel off wax paper.

8Lift edges of dough and fit into pie pan. Trim edge of pan.

9Dip fork into flour and punch holes in bottom and sides of dough.

10Sprinkle with sugar.

11Ready to use in your favorite pie recipe.
