- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 yeast cake
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Cream sugar and shortening.

3Add salt.

4Scald milk and let cool to lukewarm.

5Add milk to mixture, then add yeast.

6Mix flour until it becomes a soft dough.

7Cover and let ripen 3 hours.

8Knead and make into rolls.

9Let stand 30 minutes.

10Bake until light brown at 350°.
