- 1 qt. potato water
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 cake yeast
- 2 Tbsp. lard
- 2 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Pour potato water, hot, over flour and sugar.

2Add potatoes and cool.

3Add yeast.

4Make sponge.

5Beat 5 minutes, then let rise and add lard and salt.

6Stiffen up and knead at least 20 minutes. Let rise and knead down.

7Let rise again.

8Make into loaves or light cakes.

9Let rise and bake.
