- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in medium bowl.

2Cut in shortening, using a pastry blender.

3Add buttermilk and blend well.

4Turn dough out on a floured surface and knead.

5Roll dough 1/2-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.

6Bake at 425° until light brown.

7Cool and freeze.

8Take out and bake until brown as needed.
