French Apple Pie

  • 1 double pie crust
  • 2 1/2 c. apples, sliced
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/3 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine

Directions

    Arrange half of apples in pastry-lined pie pan.

    Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, flour, raisins and lemon juice; sprinkle half of mixture over apples.

    Add remaining apples.

    Sprinkle with remaining mixture.

    Dot with margarine.

    Place top crust on pie. Bake at 425° for 45 to 55 minutes.
