Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 5 c. flour

Directions

    Add yeast, sugar and salt to warm water.

    Mix Crisco with 1/2 the flour and all milk until mealy, then add yeast mixture.

    Add rest of flour; let rise in greased pan until double.

    Roll out in long rolls; brush with milk.

    Let rise again, then bake at 400° for about 30 minutes.
