- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 tsp. cornmeal
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 1/4 to 4 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add sugar, salt, butter and 2 cups flour.

3Beat with a spoon until thoroughly mixed.

4Gradually add remaining flour until dough is easy to handle.

5Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5 to 10 minutes or until dough is elastic and not sticky.

6Place in a greased bowl; cover dough with plastic wrap.

7Let rise in a warm place until double in size, 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

8Punch down.
